Our Mission
Medici Project was founded in 2009 with the mission of empowering a generation of young people who transform their communities through love and service. We believe that by investing deeply in the next generation and equipping them to serve with humility, empathy, and action, we can spark a ripple effect of lasting change in our world. Currently we are leading trips and experiences stateside and internationally that open the eyes of high school and college students to the injustices all around them and how they can be a part of the solution. We also work with students through coaching and mentoring to equip them with the tools needed to make their dreams of serving and loving others a tangible reality in their everyday lives through the work they choose to do.
Why Medici Project?
The name Medici Project comes from the Medici family of Florence. The Medici family was able to strategically impact and influence every area of culture. Through this influence, this family was responsible for ushering in the Renaissance in Europe. One family is responsible for changing the world through strategic influence. So why can’t we do the same thing? Why can’t we send out students in every area of culture that are educated, trained, and equipped to love their neighbor well? We believe that through raising up a generation who knows how to love and serve others and put it into action, we can change the world. So that’s what we’re doing. We’re taking a page out of the Medici family playbook and tweaking it. Young people are our future, so why can’t we train them to shape it into a better place? We can, and we are.
